Citizens Advice celebrates with 80s Disco Night
Citizens Advice is 80 years old this September, which means all the small local charities that make up Citizens Advice, including our own in the South Hams, make it not only one of the largest independent advice providers in the UK but one of the oldest.
Celebrations have been going on most of the year, starting with a visit to Citizens Advice South Hams by HRH the Princess Royal in March to hand out long service awards to some of its staff and volunteers. The charity is currently being supported by 4 South Hams law practices for its Wills Week 23 – 27th September, the practices are offering to write Wills for free for donations to Citizens Advice South Hams.
The local advice charity has now decided to let its hair down, throw caution to the wind and go full 80s crazy with a disco in Dartington Village Hall on Friday 27th September, complete with an 80s cover band and licensed bar. Doors open at 7.30pm, tickets £8 on the door or £6 online from wegottickets.com (type “Citizens Advice 80s night” in the title box) optional 80s fancy dress.
All proceeds go to Citizens Advice South Hams and will help them recruit and train more volunteers.
