Cash First Leaflet for South Hams Published
Our local partners Food In Community have developed a new Cash First leaflet to signpost people to services in the South Hams. Read their latest press release below:
Food poverty, period poverty, fuel poverty, hygiene poverty etc, are all due to insufficient income. Cash First helps people to find good quality free help for money worries in their area, reduce stigma and most importantly, maximise their income to reduce the likelihood of needing charity. The Cash First leaflets help normalise requesting assistance with money issues, which can reduce the likelihood of people being unable to afford to feed or clothe themselves and their families, and the associated trauma that can bring. It signposts people to services such as their local Citizens Advice.
The South Hams version of the leaflet, ‘Worrying About Money?’ has now been published on the Independent Food Aid Network’s website – https://ifanuk.org/south-hams-leaflet
You can also find it amongst the Cash First leaflet collection at www.foodaidnetwork.org.uk/cash-first-leaflets. You can browse the other local authority areas that have adopted Cash First.
